ORMEM: Rock magnetism and environmental magnetism data integrated display system

Marine rock magnetism and environmental magnetism records provide valuable archives of geological and paleoenvironmental processes. However, marine magnetic datasets are dispersed across publications, expedition reports, institutional repositories, and general databases, with inconsistent metadata and standards, limiting their discovery, integration, and reuse. To address these challenges, we developed the Rock Magnetism and Environmental Magnetism Data Integrated Display System (ORMEM, www.ormem.cn), an open data service and visualization platform that integrates marine rock and environmental magnetic datasets within a standardized paleomagnetic knowledge framework. ORMEM implements standardized workflows for data integration, metadata documentation, parameter harmonization, and quality control. The platform offers interactive search, filtering, visualization, and data download services, enabling efficient exploration and reuse of magnetic data for data-driven geoscientific research.
